At The Nascent Group, we believe meaningful change begins with meaningful engagement. We view community engagement not as a project requirement, but as a planning, design, and development strategy. Our process helps communities, institutions, developers, and public agencies build trust, uncover local knowledge, align stakeholders, and create shared visions for the future.

Our engagement approach combines public meetings, stakeholder interviews, surveys, focus groups, design charrettes, public life studies, youth engagement, and creative placemaking techniques to ensure community voices meaningfully shape outcomes. We help clients move beyond traditional engagement processes by leveraging storytelling, spatial analysis, and AI-powered visualization tools that translate community priorities into visual concepts and design alternatives. This allows residents and stakeholders to see how their feedback directly informs planning, design, and development decisions.

We regularly support corridor plans, district strategies, campus master plans, neighborhood revitalization efforts, equitable transit-oriented development initiatives, adaptive reuse projects, and economic development strategies. Through this work, we help identify community priorities, uncover opportunities, and translate local knowledge into actionable recommendations and implementation frameworks.

We believe workforce development is community development. Every investment in place should also be an investment in people. We partner with developers, public agencies, educational institutions, employers, and nonprofit organizations to design workforce ecosystems that connect residents to real economic opportunities generated by development and investment.

Our work includes workforce planning, entrepreneurship programs, construction career pathways, local hiring strategies, procurement initiatives, small business development, innovation labs, youth entrepreneurship programs, and business incubation. We help clients build systems that connect community members to jobs, contracts, mentorship, training, ownership opportunities, and long-term economic participation.

From curriculum development and partnership building to grant strategy, implementation planning, and employer engagement, we create pathways that move people from education to employment, entrepreneurship, leadership, and wealth creation. Our goal is simple: to ensure that the people who help shape a community are also positioned to benefit from its growth and success for generations to come.
